"All the single ladies, now put your hands up!"

Ok so you don't have to be a single lady to read this... but we saw Beyonce in concert this past Sunday and it was AMAZING!!! Carmen and I ordered the tickets last semester so we've been looking forward to this for a while.  The last time I saw her perform was at the Big Jam sponsored by WGCI in Chicago in like 2003(?) I know it was right after her first CD came out...needless to say, I was long overdue.

From start to finish, "Crazy in Love" to "Halo," she didn't disappoint.

The obvious best moments were seeing her perform "Get Me Bodied" and "Single Ladies" live after many attempts of learning the dances. But the most memorable moment was her "At Last" performance. Images of the Civil Rights Movement played for most of the song before showing clips from Barack Obama's inauguration and inauguration ball. The crowd, about 95% Australian, cheered just as loud for Obama (and again for Michelle) as they did for Bey. Great moment indeed.

Clip from "Get Me Bodied" (warning: may be a little loud):

  1. I know you were standing the whole time, but it looks so worth it! A great view of an awesome entertainer.
